Summer Internship Program
open to all rising Juniors and Seniors
At Girl Gonna Launch, we believe that when young women step forward with courage, creativity, and conviction, they don’t just change their own futures—they change the world. That’s why our Summer Internship Program is more than just a summer job. It’s an opportunity to lead, to serve, and to make a real impact in the lives of middle school girls who are learning to dream big

For 8–10 weeks from June through August, you’ll be part of a vibrant team working in Chicago, on the North Shore, and in hybrid roles. It’s a 30–40 hour a week commitment filled with purpose, learning, and community.
Internships Available
Marketing & Strategy
Step into the storyteller’s seat. You’ll create social media content, capture the energy of camp in photos and videos, spotlight our girls’ achievements, and share our story through newsletters and updates. You’ll also dive into stakeholder interviews and track what resonates, learning how to share a mission in ways that inspire and move people.
Community Impact
Be at the heart of our connection to families and community partners. You’ll reach out to schools, nonprofits, and parent groups, and you’ll gather stories that reflect the heart of our work. You’ll help imagine and design new programs, support events and after-school opportunities, and collect data that shows how together we are making a difference
Every intern leaves not just with a resume booster,
but with tools for a lifetime.

“Going into my internship with Girl Gonna Launch, I was nervous. I knew little about entrepreneurship and nothing about entrepreneurship programs for young girls. But what I did know was that I was committed to building a future that has females at the forefront, which starts with the confidence and courage built in a girl's childhood. Through the interviews of organization founders, I met inspiring people who showed me the kind of leader I want to become, and others who reminded me of the paths I don’t want to take. And most impactful were the voices of the young girls whose eyes lit up as soon as they heard the words “start your own business,” proving the necessity for Girl Gonna Launch to be a space where their ideas are heard and femininity is celebrated. Ultimately, I helped Girl Gonna Launch learn about what young girls and their families need, but more than that, I discovered the type of leader I want to be and the power in committing to listening to voices that are too often overlooked.”
“I not only learned so much, but also became a part of an inspiring message. Throughout the summer, my skills in research and problem-solving developed immensely. For the non-profit, I learned the value of research on competitors and a business's target market. As I continued interning, my creativity and passion grew most noticeably. During this internship, I experienced ideation almost every single day, constantly thinking and providing solutions for growth. This was probably my favorite part as I was able to watch my ideas, like a scrunchie or community spotlight on our Instagram, come to life. What stood out to me most about my internship was the community involvement and reassurance. As I was interning, I talked to various local businesses and people in the community about Girl Gonna Launch. I was inspired by the number of people willing to help support this amazing organization launch off the ground. From these moments, I learned how important spreading a message is. Another large part of my role as a strategic growth intern was to grow the awareness about the organization; therefore, I reached out to nearly every person I knew and spread the message and mission of entrepreneurship and financial literacy. Over this summer, it was amazing to see the growth and progress of the organization. I loved taking my skills from the classroom and using that education to make an impactful difference within my own community.”
